Mezcal
The standard Negroni consists 3 ingredients; Gin, Sweet Vermouth and Campari. For this variation, Gin is swapped with Mezcal. We would recommend the Pierde Almas +9 Botanicals Mezcal. It might hurt your wallet a tad bit, but the Peidre Almas delivers such an awesome flavour and aroma to the cocktail that we could not let it pass and had to recommend it. A point to note that generally mezcals add a smoky note to the cocktail.
Add all ingredients in ice and mix (an orange slice is optional). This drink will impress!
Ingredients:
1/3 Gin Mezcal
1/3 Sweet Vermouth
1/3 Campari
Ice
Instructions:
Poured over ice and stir!
Garnish:
Orange Slice
Brandy/Cognac
Gin is swapped with Cognac or Brandy. The warmth of the cognac and its sweetness goes well with the bitterness of the campari. There are slight variations with the recipe; Cognac is french, it may be called Parisian Negroni or French Negroni, and it can also be called Amber Negroni.
Add all with ice and mix (an orange slice is optional). Cognac adds a different depth to this drink and makes the negroni less bitter and more welcoming.
Ingredients:
1/3 Gin Brandy/Cognac
1/3 Sweet Vermouth
1/3 Campari
Ice
Instructions:
Poured over ice and stir!

Bourbon
Called the Boulevadier, this cocktail might be slightly underated but it's rich and complex. If you don't want gin, bourbon is actually an interesting substitute. Bitters are optional.

2 parts Gin Bourbon
1 part Sweet Vermouth
1 part Campari
Angostura or Orange Bitters (optional)
Instructions:
Poured over ice and stir!
